Today is my third day of VCE. And unfortunately I have discovered that most of my class mates believe that your only smart or doing hard subjects if your participating in the sciences. I choose not to do any science, because I don’t enjoy them. But I am not stupid, and my subjects are not easy. So why is it that an opinion from some one in the science field is more appreciated than someone who isn’t. There are many great people in history, who have participated in art and social studies and not sciences, and have effected society on a global level. So why is it that people like my classmates only believe that scientist influence society, especially when there is a rich history of people from these “easy” subjects that have impacted the world globally, without scientific knwoledge?
